Imam of the Time: The Rope of Allah

Title of Lesson: Imam of the Time: The Rope of Allah
Presenter: Frozan Hydari

This lesson explores the key Quranic verse from Surah 3, Verse 103: “Wa’tasimoo bi Hablil laahi jamee’anw wa laa tafarraqoo” (“And hold firmly to the Rope of Allah all together and do not become divided”). It begins with an introduction to the concept of a rope in situations of rescue and safety, such as in mountain climbing or sailing, to highlight the importance of holding onto the Rope of Allah.

The lesson then connects this concept to the chain of guidance from Allah, continuing from Hazrat Adam through to Mawlana Hazir Imam in our time. It emphasizes the significance of calling upon the Imam in times of difficulty, similar to how one calls for help in times of danger.

The verse is then chanted and set to melody to help young members memorize it, fostering both understanding and retention. The lesson concludes with thought-provoking questions to deepen the students’ reflection on the message.
