In this comic story, children learn a very special truth: the purpose of our life is to recognize Allah. But this recognition is only possible through the recognition of the Imam of the Time, who is the living guide that Allah has sent for us in human form on His behalf.
Alwaeza Saheba gently explains that the Imam is Allah’s Light in human form — the guide whom Allah has sent on His behalf to lead us, to help us know Him, love Him, and walk on His path. By knowing the Imam’s name, recognizing his face, understanding his Imamat, and following him faithfully, we discover the real reason why we are alive.
The story reminds us that the Imam of the Time is always with us. Even when we cannot see him physically, his love, care, and prayers are always present. Mawlana Hazir Imam (salawātullāhi ʿalayhi) himself has beautifully reminded us:
“Remember that while this is a physical didar and it is limited in time, your Imam is with you all the time – every second, every minute, every hour and every day – all of the time. I am with you. I am with my Jamat even when I am not physically present. I am here to guide you, to support you, and to encourage you. I care for you, and I pray for you. Wherever you are, remember, your Imam is always with you.”

The Imam’s guidance encompasses not only spiritual closeness but also how to navigate our daily lives. He lovingly said to the youth:
“I am aware of the many pressures that you face in your daily lives. Sometimes it can be very difficult. As the world becomes increasingly secular, I want you to remember that worldly success may be important, but it is not our only goal.
Keep the spiritual part of you alive and nurtured. This will ease your burdens and give you strength and comfort. I encourage you to remember Allah. Notice Allah in everything around you. Give thanks for His bounty in our lives. Call His name, call on Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) and on your Imams. This remembrance will polish your hearts and bring you peace and happiness.
When you can, come to Jamatkhana and pray together. I know this is not possible for everyone. For some of my Jamat who are spread out and cannot reach Jamatkhana, this is more difficult. But if you can reach a Jamatkhana, come and pray together. You will find benefit in coming together as a community. When you cannot join in prayers with the Jamat, pause for contemplation at any time, whenever you have an opportunity.
I say again: keep your spiritual life in good health, care for it, nurture it, attend to it. It is not less important than the efforts you dedicate to your material lives.
Your spiritual lives are strengthened when you have an intellectual engagement with your faith. To help you increase your understanding, you have access to excellent educational materials on our faith and history. Learn about your Tariqah, your cultural and community history, from our literature and also from the elders in the Jamat. This will help you to be clear and confident about your identity.”

These teachings show us that recognizing the Imam is not just about faith — it is also about living a balanced, happy life where spirituality strengthens our material progress, and where our identity and purpose shine clearly.
