“He is Subḥān (free from everything) Who has created all in pairs, from what the earth grows, and from themselves and from those which they do not know.” (36:36).
“Do you not see that God has made serviceable to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and has completed His favours, both apparent(Zahiri) and hidden(Batini), on you? Yet among the people is he disputes concerning God without knowledge or guidance or a luminous book” (31:20).
The holy Prophet said:
“I am fighting for the sake of the tanzīl of the Qur’ān and Alī is fighting for the sake of its ta’wīl.”

The Lecture provides a deep insight into the concept of necessity of ta’wil of the Holy Quran.
Lecture starts with the discussion of importance of pluralism after which the different point of views of different sects of Islam regarding Ta’wil are discussed, then the importance of ta’wil has been proved through Quranic Verses and Logical explanations.
A few key verses that have been discussed include 3:7, that talks about the two kinds of verses in the holy Quran. Verse 36:36, which discusses that everything in this world has been created in the form of pairs, also proven by hadith, and 31:20 discusses the pairs of blessings i.e., Exoteric and Esoteric, where a question rises regarding the form of esoteric blessings, this is explained logically and the path to attain them is explained.
Further it is explained, that with every prophet there is his legatee who has the responsibility of ta’wil and a few events from prophet Muhammad’s time have been discussed to further prove this and verse 13:43 is another key verse that was discussed in this regard.
After this explanation, there is discussion of those verse that clearly say that ta’wil has been taught, not hidden. (12:6, 12:21,12:101).
Lastly, the verse 3:7 is discussed again to explain the position of the Imam as the one well-grounded
